Editorial & Link Building Policy

Last updated: 1 March 2026

This policy sets out the standards behind every placement we make. It exists so clients, partners and publishers know exactly how we work — and where our limits are.

1. White-hat only

We build links in line with search engine webmaster guidelines. We do not use private blog networks (PBNs), automated link generation, link farms, hacked sites, cloaking or any scheme designed to manipulate rankings through artificial links.

2. Site vetting standards

Before any site enters our inventory or receives a placement, it must pass manual checks for:

  • Genuine, verifiable organic search traffic;
  • Healthy Domain Rating and backlink profile;
  • Acceptable spam and toxicity scores;
  • A clean outbound-link profile (no gambling, adult or pharmaceutical spam);
  • Topical relevance and a real editorial presence.

Sites are re-vetted monthly, and those that decline are removed.

3. Content standards

Content is written or edited by our in-house team to match the host publication's style and quality. It must be accurate, useful and original. We do not publish spun, auto-generated or plagiarised content, and we disclose sponsored relationships where the publisher or law requires it.

4. Links and anchors

We place contextual links that genuinely fit the surrounding content. We recommend natural anchor-text distributions and advise against over-optimised exact-match anchors that put a client's profile at risk. The final anchor is always approved by the client.

5. Client approval and transparency

Clients approve the site, anchor and draft before publication and receive the live URL, screenshots and metrics afterwards. We report honestly, including when a campaign underperforms.

6. Prohibited and sensitive niches

We decline illegal content and are cautious with sensitive YMYL ("Your Money or Your Life") topics such as medical, financial and legal advice, where we set realistic expectations and apply stricter editorial review. We reserve the right to refuse any project that conflicts with this policy.

7. Accountability

Questions or concerns about a placement can be raised with us at info@outreach.guru and will be reviewed by our editorial lead.
